Double Dutch

I made a utensil holder, decorating plain wooden item with the scenes of old Holland. Colour palette is proper Dutch blue colour, similar to that of old Dutch tiles.

Vintage style watering can

Last year I was given lovely watering can. It is made of copper and boasts interesting shape and details. It took me quite a while before I decided on the design and motives, because I wanted to keep as many original features as possible. Eventually I got an idea from old painting of farm animal in slightly naive style. I choosen the colour to match coppery tone of the can itself.

Blue-white Tray

I like black and white things, but do not feel myself confident enough, because it requires impeccable technique. So I went for monochromatic, blue and white design on this tray and I think it looks great! I really like it!

These blanks with carved handles are a bit tricky, narrowing the choice of motives. But I have already done quite a few, these are my favourites:

Spring is in the air!

Spring is very slow this year and everything in my garden is on standby. Primulas are very tentative and so are crocuses, only hellebore is bold and confident. But still I am very pleased with crocuses which multiply happily and of course my favourite - snowdrops. Last week I bought and planted new variety, while still "in green", hope they will like it in my garden.

I put image of snowdrops on this glascase and added some fine cracklings, so that it looks very delicate, like flowers themselves!
