Watering Can "A Rose Garden"

The most of watering cans I decorate are of small size, less than 3 litre capacity, more suitable for watering houseplants or to use in the conservatory or greenhouse. But sometimes I work with a watering can of proper size!



This is proper 9 litre watering can for a garden. The only problem is that if it's left outside for a too long time especially in cold and rainy weather the decoration could be damaged. I put a lot of effort in protecting it with many layers of hard wearing varnish and still I warn castomers not to leave it outside after use.

Classical Planter

I was away for a week and could not show some latest works that time.



Initially whole this planter was of coppery colour like inside. Very classical feel which I tried to highlight with classical roses images.

A box and a box

I am not good with boxes. They are "not my cup of tea", "not my strong side", "not my line", not me! But! I still have plenty of blanks of different sizes and shapes and want to get rid of them, so here we are - new boxes:



To keep the gardening theme the second one is a seed box:

It seems overly decorated but everyone might want to make something different occasionally!



And no single crackling, have you noticed?

Antique GlassHouse

Spring' got lost somewhere... We got snow yesterday and today! It's mid of March! Anyway, it will come eventually and I try to be prepared with all these watering cans, pot holders and the like. Here we are:

Inspirational Works

I do nothing and show nothing... But Sandra's decoupaged soaps look so lovely that I decided to give it a go! This is a result:

I've decoupaged some soaps once while making bathroom set but that time it was pure decorative.



But Sandra knows the way of making them practical, so that the picture stays intact while you use the soap (I checked!). It seems I am hooked and I will definitely make more!

And at the end I would like to show some pictures of my new hydrangeas. This hydrangea macrophylla Masja is a compact plant, ideal for growing in containers. I am not very keen on the macrophyllas, but I like the deep colour and tidy appearance of the plant.



This one is hydrangea paniculata 'Vanilla Fraise'. I do like the paniculatas and this one is stunning! When I got a new plant this spring I was disappointed with it's size - it looked more like a rooted cuttings than a proper plant. But by the August it produced three huge heads which change the colour from the pure white to the blushing pink. Looks absolutely great!

With all this rain watering can are not in great demands unfortunately... But I can't help myself and keep making them all the same! And hope for the bright feature!

Dandelion

First dandelions are so cheerful, they are sure signs of coming spring! And later they become weeds and nuisance in the gardens! Mixed feelings exactly as I have about this watering can. I like it partly and I am not happy with it either...

Country and Americana

I decided to give you a short break from watching all trays and watering cans! These are two key racks in country style - Americana and ... just country!

I am not very much in Americana style but like the deceptive simplicity of naive American art. Tried to make something remotely similar...

And a few pictires of my garden. We have a warm weather at last! For those of you who wants to know the names: geranium pyrenaicum; brunnera "Jack Frost"; viburnum "Mariesii" and omphalodes cappadocica. Last two pictures are of flowering hawthorn trees, they are amazing!

Tray "Fresh Green"

It's not just a tray, more like a cutlery tray, but I wanted it looks more decorative than utilitarian. That's why I've choosen these cool and fresh green and greyish colours and made very subtle craquelure. I am pretty happy with the result!

Colour of season - Yellow

I am not a great fan of yellow colour in the garden but in this time of year it is very welcomed! Yellow daffs and tulips create the feeling of sunshine and warmth!

Marsh marigold, primroses and of course this shy beauty - the dog's-tooth violet!

With a touch of delicate pink and blue - my garden now is a very cheerful picture indeed!
