Two for one

I was away for a while and didn't do much. But just before I left there was an order for me to make a glasscase. The requirements were: dark colours, book theme. A lady wanted me to make two cases so that she could choose one. Here they are. On the back on the first case there is a craquelure as well, but too fine to be seen on photo.

I make a lot of small items all the time but rarely show them. Maybe it's not the right way to do things. So here I show two sets of such small everyday objects.

One Day at Seaside

We had a heatwave in Britain (definitely here in Yorkshire!)! Last week the weather was much better then in summer months and we enjoyed it immensely. My husband is on the annual holiday and we used this opportunity and decided to go to seaside. We were going to Scarborough first but changed our mind on the way and ended up in Filey. For those who do not know - Filey is a small seaside resort with endless sandy beach, nice country walks and steep cliffs.

And of course you can’t do without a few seaside souvenirs!

Glass Cases for Everyone

I make glass cases all the time, usually they are for ladies, but sometimes I want to do something masculine, like this one with muted colours and Scotland theme.

Of course roses are still my favorite:

And this one can suit everyone!

Spring is in the air!

Spring is very slow this year and everything in my garden is on standby. Primulas are very tentative and so are crocuses, only hellebore is bold and confident. But still I am very pleased with crocuses which multiply happily and of course my favourite - snowdrops. Last week I bought and planted new variety, while still "in green", hope they will like it in my garden.

I put image of snowdrops on this glascase and added some fine cracklings, so that it looks very delicate, like flowers themselves!
