Yes, I know, for many Western people picking (and eating) wild mushrooms is an entirely allien notion! But my husband is crazy about mushrooming and I myself enjoy it very much. The beauty of the autumn forest and these lovely chaps peeking out of the grass - no, I can't resist! We call it "quiet hunting " and I think it is a very appropriate name. You can eat mushrooms fried, salted, pickled and dried - they make delicious soup and sauces. We dried some not only for ourselves but for friends as well and I decorated a storage box as a small gift.
